Transfers: Details, Dates and Times

VMS is being held at Salt Resort, Bells Boulevard, Kingscliff, New South Wales. The closest airport is Coolangatta Airport, Gold Coast, Queensland. Coolangatta Airport is approximately 20 minutes from the Salt Resort.

Depending on what flights you book, you can also fly to Brisbane Airport, approximately 1hour 40 minutes.

VMA organises a number of bus transfers to and from both Brisbane and Coolangatta airports. Note New South Wales has daylight savings time (AEDT) and Queensland doesn't (AEST). Below are the bus transfers we offer:

 Brisbane Airport Transfers to Salt Resort: Saturday 11 November Queensland time (AEST)  

• Brisbane Airport to Salt Resort - 4:00pm  Arrive: 6.00pm NSW

Gold Coast (Coolangatta) Transfers to Salt Resort: Saturday 11 November Queensland time (AEST)  

• Gold Coast Airport to Salt Resort - 2.30pm  Arrive: 4.00pm NSW

Brisbane Airport Transfers to Salt Resort: Sunday 10 November Queensland time (AEST)                                                          

·        Brisbane Airport to Salt Resort - 9.00 am        Arrive: 11.00 am NSW, or                              

·        Brisbane Airport to Salt Resort - 4.00 pm        Arrive: 7.00 pm NSW      

Gold Coast Airport (Coolangatta) Transfers to Salt Resort: Sunday 10 November Queensland time (AEST)                                                         

·        Gold Coast Airport to Salt Resort Transfer - 10.00 am           Arrive: 11.30 am NSW, or

·        Salt Resort to Gold Coast - 5.15 am                           

·        Salt Resort to Gold Coast Airport - 8.30 am

·        Salt Resort to Gold Coast Airport - 10.15 am          

Please note: The transfers are in local time - Brisbane and Gold Coast transfers to Salt are in QLD time and transfers from Salt are in NSW time. NSW is in daylight savings time during School whilst QLD remains in Australian Eastern Standard Time and are one hour behind NSW. If these transfer times do not suit, you are welcome to taxi or ride share, noting this is at your own expense.

Where to meet at airport

·        If you are arriving at the Gold Coast airport, once you have collected your luggage please head to the Northern End of the terminal to "Transit Centre". (It is located at the end of the Terminal). The driver will be in the terminal holding a sign displaying VMA.

·        If you arrive at the Brisbane Domestic Airport, meet at the Traders & Co Café which is located inside the terminal. The driver will be holding a sign displaying VMA.

·        Allow 15 minutes max waiting time from the transfer departure time. If you have any concerns when you arrive, please call Robyn Papadopoulous on 0409 661 589.

·        If you require a transfer and have not booked, please let me know.

·        We will post the return transfer list at School if you need to update your transfer details.

Alternative transfer options

·        For transfers outside the above schedule, please contact: Tweed Coast & Country Limousines and Transfer. Transfers may be more cost effective than a taxi or rideshare.

·        Please note, these alternative transfers, plus taxi and rideshare fees are at the students' own cost.

Please Note: The bus transfers are a value added option. The VMA Team aim to do our best to accommodate all flight arrivals however for some of you this may mean a short wait at the airport for the transfer. Up to date transfer lists are displayed on Mantra and Peppers notice boards outside your classrooms. Please check the notice boards and advise if you need to make a change to the transfer time. 

We understand and appreciate that many students register for VMS several months before the event, thus arranging their bus transfers well in advance. In the past, some students have needed to alter their transfers before VMS for various reasons. We allocate buses of different sizes based on the number of students booked for each transfer, so please inform us if you require a change to your pre-booked transfer.

Please ensure you arrive on time for your transfer as transfer times are scheduled to meet flight times. If you are late you will need to use an alternative transfer option.
